Our Design
With this collection, we celebrate assorted Hong Kong summits in an artistic perspective. We put together some famous mountains and some that are often overlooked by people in a single piece, as to share further information about the country side in Hong Kong through our illustration.
This design is a combination of five Hong Kong summits all of which are our favourite spots for self-challenge and adventures. Hong Kong has a fair share of natural landscape amid the city jungles which made Hong Kong a unique city for hikers around the world -- the views from the peaks that overlook the skyscrapers in the city. We will introduce them by height in descending order below. Let's spot them out together!
① Tai Mo Shan - the highest peak in Hong Kong
Standing 957 metres, Tai Mo Shan is Hong Kong's highest peak, designated as the Tai Mo Shan Country Park. It is also well-known for its longest path in Hong Kong -- the 8th section of the MacLehose trail. This summit links between Tsuen Wan, Kam Tin, Yuen Long and Lam Tsuen, and undoubtedly the representative of the New Territories.
② Lion Rock - Lion Rock Spirit of Hong Kong people
This 495-metre tall mountain is the most iconic one in Hong Kong, not only for its distinctive lion-shape recognisable from afar, but also the meaning behind. A song by a singer Roman TamTherefore Lion Rock is a symbol of .
③ Sharp Peak - the sharpest peak in Hong Kong
At a height of 468m, Sharp Peak (蚺蛇尖) earned its name due to its strenuous steep slope and its spectacular view that is worthy of the hike. To conquer this summit in the eastern part of Sai Kung, you might expect to get down to all four. The Three Sharp Peaks in Hong Kong namely Sharp Peak, High Junk Peak and Castle Peak, among which Sharp Peak is the most treacherous yet the most prestigious one. Thus it became the must-challenge target for many outdoor lovers.
④ High Junk Peak - the easiest among the three sharp summits in Hong Kong
Commonly seen as the entry level of the Three Sharpest Peaks in Hong Kong, High Junk Peak (Chinese: 釣漁翁; literally: "Fisherman") was named because of its pointy summit’s resemblance to a fisherman in a cape. It stands 344m tall, and offers a panoramic breathtaking views of Sai Kung and Clearwater Bay peninsulas.
⑤ Tung Shan - splendid night views of Kowloon
Stand next to Kowloon Peak(also known as Fei Ago Shan) is Tung Shan, with the height of 544 metres, it offers incredible vantage points on the trail overlooking the Kowloon Peninsula. The Fei Ngo Shan Road is considered a milestone for most driver by virtue of its exciting twists and turns along the way. But let's not to confused the highest point of the trail, Kowloon Peak viewing point sits not at Kowloon Peak but at the top of Tung Shan, that's in fact where you enjoy a wide-sweeping Kowloon landscape.
